LaWanna Idoma Barnes, 71, of Medford, died Friday (April 13), 2001) at
Hearthstone in Medford. The graveside service will be held later at North
Kern Cemetery in Delano, CA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box
698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born July 10, 1929, in Asher, OK, a daughter of Marion F. and
Bernice (Keylon) Johnson. She lived in Chico, CA, from 1984 to 1999 and
moved to the Rogue Valley in 2000 from Blackfoot, ID.

She enjoyed collecting dolls, bingo and reading.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis, Medford, and Claude, Blackfoot, ID;
three daughters, Susan Peterson, San Jose, Ca, Claudia Taylor, Santa Cruz,
CA, and Louann Wright, Leader, TX; two brothers, Carroll and Harold Johnson,
both San Jose, CA; a sister, Dione Brogden, Lockeford, CA; 11 grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister,
Wannell Hamlet.
