I am not sure if you can help but I am searching everywhere and hope that you
understand.

We have reason to believe that my husband's father may have been an Osage
Indian. He was supposedly born in Richland, Mo. on May 11, 1899. His name
at the time of birth was Roy Emmet Haynes(maybe spelled Hanes or Haines). He
ran away from home at 14 and changed his name to Roy E. Johnson. The birth
records around his dad's time of birth were destroyed. He died when my
husband was very young. Prior to his death he had made mention that his
mother's name was Catherine.

Is there any way of checking Indian birth records for him or any Haines
family in the area from 1899-1914?

Sincerely,

Cathy Johnson for Roy K. Johnson(son of Roy E. Haynes/Hanes/Haines.
