In Bethany, where the Nazarene College is now I think, there was an
orphanage, goes back beyond first half of the past century, just not sure
how far back. Do not remember name. Had a friend in 50's who lost custody of
her children and they were placed there by Catholic Church and adopted out.
May have been a Catholic Orphanage.
Census records for 1910 and 1920 should show orphanages in their listings.
Or City Directory.

shot here, there may have been many such places during that time period.
Any input greatly appreciated.
