Hi Sheila..
My Aunt married a "French" (surname). :)
Start with what you know.....yourself....do you have a copy of your birth certificate? If not & you know where you were born send off for it.
It'll have (or should have) both parents names on it. So you should be able to get your mom's first name as well as where she was born at. Do you by chance know where your grandma might have died at? If you do then you can send off for her death certificate as well as contact the funeral home who prepared her & the cemetery home where she's at.
Hope this will help some

Hi, I am new to this, and I'm not sure if this is what I'm looking for. My name Sheila French. My mothers name is Baker. I am from Ponca City, Ok. My grandmothers name was Arkie Delsie Smith, and that is all I know. How might I go about finding out more?

Thank you, Sheila French
