Jesse A De. Witt
Jesse A. DeWitt Was president of Central State Bank until 1922 and is
now a Director.
He came to the Southwest from Wisconsin born in 1889 in Montford
Wisconsin.
His parents being I.G. and Abbie( Taylor)De Witt the former a Newspaper
Publisher.
As a young man Jesse too up the study of law. He spent some time as a
student in
the University of Wisconsin and slo in Northwestern University at
Evanston, Illinois and
in 1915 came to the southwest to Muskogee. HE turned his attention to
the oil Business
an banking. He interned the world war in 1918 joined the army becoming a
member of
the One Hundred and Fifteenth Ordnance Corps. He was a second Lieutenant
from
1918 until 1919.
Mr. De witt was elected presidency of the central central bank until
1922.
1918 married Miss Mabel Smith of Muskogee.
