W.A. Kidd was head of the W.A. Kidd Lumber Company of Bartlesville.
Was born 1869 in Pennsylvania where he completed his public school
course
and entered an academy in that state.
As an Adult he went to Bowling Green, Ohio engaged in drilling oil wells

as a contractor until 1900. He then went to California for 3 years. From

there he came to Bartlesville and for 3 years operated 4 strings of
tools her at
the end he disposed of his interests along that line, and in 1906 he
became
a member of the firm of Kid and Bailey , later purchasing the interest
of
his partner.
He obtains his stock from Texas and Arkansas.
1922 he opened up a yard at Shidler, Oklahoma
He also engaged in the tile business.
He invested heavily in oil stock and owns a lumberyard at Tulsa.
1905 Mr. Kidd was married to Miss May Layton a Native of Missouri who
was
a teacher in Bartlesville.

By a former wife now deceased Mr. Kidd has a Son
Kenneth who is a young man of 27
W.A. Kidd is a Prominent Mason taken his 32 degree in the
Consistory and he is connected with the Knights of Pythias.
Mrs. Kidd is a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.
