JESSE CARROLL CULBERTSON
Was born in Macon county Illinois in 1882
Son of Griffith James & Lydia( Pieper) Culbertson.
Griffith was engaged in the real estate, loan
and insurance bussiness.
Jesse C Culbertson was also in the real estate field in
Muskogee.
He study at the University of Nebraska for two years.
He after words became a law student there completed
his law course in 1903.
He also was in the businss world intering the First National Bank
of Lincoln, Nebraska as a Messenger in 1898.
1908 he purchased a business, forming a partnership on the 15th
of February of that year with Luther E. Tomm under
the Firm style of Culbertson & Tomm.
they maintain not only an extensive real estate department but also
handle loans and insurance.
They owned the Railway Exchange building, and 8 story structure
one of the finest business block of Muskogee containing 72 thousand
square feet of floor space.
He is well known as a through his agricultural activities. He has
fifteen hundred acress of land which he farms himself and is
the owner altogether oof 3 thousand acres of farm land.
Mr. culbertson belongs to the Benevolent Protective order of
Elks and helped members of the Kiwanis Club
He is also a member of the Beta Thets Pi College Fraternity.
