Bernice MURPHY, 86, of Vian, was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Vian, to James Calvin ROSS and Mirtie May (JOHNSON) ROSS. She died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, in Vian. DARINGER, KECK.



William "Bill" SMITH, 40, of Sallisaw, was born on March 20, 1963, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Buddy SMITH and Willie Marie METCALF. He died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, in Sallisaw. LACEY, TOMLIN, PORTER, HARTNESS.



Rubye Nell SPARKMAN, 94, of Gans, was born on Jan. 23, 1909, in Gans, to John L. Stimson and Eliza (Childers) Stimson. She died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, in Gans. She married Joe Mitchell Sparkman on Nov. 11, 1941, in Muldrow. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1997. SCOTT, HARRIS.
