My Buchannan/Buckhanan/Buchannon family changed their spelling so much
they are hard to trace. William Buchanan (m. 14 Jun 1874 West Fork,
Washington, AR) Susan Huddleston Williams Buchanan moved to Greer County
prior to 1900. They lived in the Lugert and Lone Wolf area and are
buried in un-marked graves in a cemetery at the foot of some mountain.
William "Bill" BUCHANAN was born abt. 1844. He died after 1910 Census.
He was living in his son-in-laws home in Milburn, Johnston, Ok at that
time. Children of this mariage are; Leona Parthenia b. 2 Oct
1875 in TX or AR m. William Newton SHORT abt 1894 in Texas. d.
21 Jun 1958 Antlers, Pushmataha Co., OK. Martha Jane b. abt 1878 m.
William BLAKELY John J. b. abt 1881 m. Minnie L.BRANTLEY in Headrick,
Greer, OK 7 Mar 1904, recorded in Mangum, Greer Co. OK Book 2 Page 296.
John d abt 1977 buried in Altus, Jackson, Ok. Lillie M. b 12
Jun 1883 TX m. C.N.MILLER in Greer Co., OK 30 Oct 1903. Recorded in
Mangum, Greer, Ok in Book 2 Page 64 Ervie Ann b 26 Sep 1885 m.
George Burse PHIFER abt 1907 d. 21 Jul 1964 buried Condon Grove
Cemetery, Milburn, Johnston Co, OK. My grandmother is Leona so I have
info on her children other than that I have no information other than
what is here. Would like any info and especially on William and Susan
BUCHANAN.
