I have a totally different Taylor family who lived in Talihina. My
GGGrandfather, George Washington "Wash" Taylor b. 2 July 1843 in NC d. 21 May
1928 Talihina, LeFlore, Oklahoma. He is buried in section one of the
Talihina Cemetery of Talihina, LeFlore County, OK.
He was the son of Wiley and Henrietta Johnson Taylor. Wash married twice, he
lost his first wife after the birth of their first child. He married second,
Maryann Matilda Davidson b. 15 January 1852 in Lincoln, Georgia d. 8 May 1928
in Talihina, LeFlore, Oklahoma. She is buried in section one of the Talihina
Cemetery of Talihina, LeFlore County, OK. Wash moved with his family to
Richmond County, GA about 1844. Where he grew up and married. He moved to
Arkansas in the mid 1860's and Texas in the late 1870's. He was living in
Polk County, Arkansas by 1895 and in LeFlore County, OK by 1915. Some of the
Taylor decendants you find in Talihina will be his.
