Hello Diane,
I found the same record that you have. Can you furnish just a bit more
information about this family? Maybe some of the children's names or
something that we can criss cross our materials with?

Walker, Fannie M. , 35 , Talihina , C.N., I.T., to Mitchell, B.B. , 57 ,
Talihina , 14 Feb 1907

Many times folks moved from LeFlore to Haskell County because the railroad
was built through the center of it. Cattle, crops, fishing, the Arkansas
River etc. brought many jobs. There were several Mitchell's in Haskell
County but without some names I can't look anybody up.

Thank you,
Donna Sue

Nancy Owens Mitchell. Nancy died between 1900 and 1907 as Ben remarried
Fannie Walker that year. The Mitchell family had been in Talihina since
1886 and I have located Ben still there in 1910.

They are not listed in the Talihina Cemetery Book. Their son and many of my
other relatives are listed. What other cemeteries are close to Talihina
where they might have been buried?
