My grandfather lived in Wister on the "Old" Highway and had a bait shop there. He
was born in 1895 in Arkansas. His father was William Layton Smith who was born in
1862 (below). You aren't of this Smith line, huh?

John L. SMITH was born to Aaron Smith and Mary Pauline Brown. Aaron was born October
07, 1800 in Knox County TN, and his father was Leighton Smith b. 1756 in MD.
