Martha Reddout,I do not know to whom the building was sold, but you may
find this information by speaking with Virginia VanSant Smith.She resides
in Quapaw,and the number is 918-674-2336. You may be interested to know
the register, which resided in the foyer, is currently located in the local
jewerly store. I do not know the name of the store, but evidently this
business has been a fixture on the landscape of Marietta for decades. When
the contents of the hotel were auctioned some years back the owner of the
jewerly store thought the register would be good for business. Evidently,
he felt people searching for ancestors might just take a fancy to a new
piece of jewerly.
