Miss Danielle Rene Wardrip of Thackerville and Tony Marcus Holts of Denton, Texas, exchanged wedding vows at 11 a.m. March 17 in the Lake Murray Chapel.
Michael Sampson officiated the double-ring ceremony before a
lighted, ivy archway. Flowers around the altar added to the natural beauty of the church.
Parents of the bride are Johnny & Terry Wilson of Thackerville
and Danny Wardrip of Farmington, New Mexico. She is the granddaughter of Virgil and Loisann Sampson of Marietta and Benny and Jean Wardrip of Oklahoma City.
The groom is the son of Mark and Diana Holts of Denton and the grandson of Mary Greathouse of Denton.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a gown which her grandmother, Loisann Sampson, made for the bride's mother 23 years ago. The floor-length dress was made of white crepe and featured a scoop neckline. Antique lace embellished the empire waist, the front of the gown, and the sleeves.
The bride carried a bouquet that she made with fresh yellow, white and pink carnations, white and purple daisies, and greenery, wrapped in satin ribbon.
A reception was held in the Thackerville School Cafeteria. The
reception assistants were Jeri Powers of Thackerville, Lynn Sampson of Davis, Sharla Unger of Thackerville, and Connie Wood and Liz Mayfield of Marietta, who also helped with the arrangements and decorating.
The newlyweds are at home in Thackerville.
A graduate of Thackerville High School, the bride is attending North Central Texas College and is a sales representatives for Naturalizer.
Mr. Holts graduated from high school in Denton and plans to attend Tech college. He is employed as a receiving adminstrator for Nokia.
