Graveside rites for Holmes Daniel McCurtain, 65, were held at
2 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the Enville Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Christian officiating.

Mr. McCurtain was born August 10, 1935, at Enville, the son of Robert W. and Florence Etta Smith McCurtain. He died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

He married Teresa Bruggy and worked as a tree trimmer for McCoys Tree Service. He was also a musician with The Country Wrangler Band.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Glenn McCurtain of Marietta and Chris McCurtain of Greenville; two daughters, Gina Shackleford of Alfalfa and Denise Skinner of Ardmore; two stepsons, Donald Poplin of Ardmore and Mike Poplin of Dickson; a stepdaughter, Regina Forson of Ardmore;
a brother, James McCurtain of Lone Grove; a half-brother, Lester Diemer of Lone Grove; two sisters, Evelyn Berry and LaVerne Johnson of Ardmore; three half-sisters, Rosetta Dobbs, Lois Shaver and Nina Love of Lone Grove; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. McCurtain was preceded in death by a sister. Services were under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
