Descendants of Oscar and Jessie Hallum, Will and Rosie Hallum and Paul and Ella Hallum came from Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Florida for the annual Hallum Reunion, which was held Saturday, July 20, in the Love County Fair Building in Marietta.

Excitement was in the air as some relatives were here for the first time.

A total of 120 family and friends enjoyed the day of getting reacquainted and looking at old and new family pictures. At noon, the group enjoyed a meal prepared by the great cooks in the family.

An auction followed with Lareme Robnett and Keith Hallum serving as auctioneers. Auction items ranged from fresh vegetables, golf clubs, to old family photographs. Proceeds from the auction go to pay for the expenses of the reunion each year.
