I looked in the Love County History book that belonged to my Dad and found the following:

Batson school was a small school named after Dr. Batson.

I assume this is Dr. W.V. Batson who was a physician and surgeon. This information was found in a book published in 1912 and compiled by R.A. Young. The book was called a Dictionary of Oklahoma Towns and contained the names of the business and professional people in most of the towns in the state.

1961 - the Assistant County District Attorney was John Steele Batson.

1925 - among subscribers to the phone service were Autry & Batson and Dr. Batson.

Worshipful Masters of the Marietta Lodge No. 102 and the year they served:
1903 - John D. Batson

Also, look at the obit for Johann Mott.
