Obie and Virginia Teague will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on September 2. They were married in 1950 in Gainesville, Texas, in a double ceremony with Betty and Burney Lemons.

The couple moved to Thackerville in 1965, and they have lived there since that time. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Lavonna and John Castleman, and two granddaughters, Jenny Castleman and Callie McCage.

A private family celebration will take place to mark the occasion.
