Hershell Dee Thurman, 54, of Greenville, Texas, passed away September 20, 2004, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born September 29, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Ruby and Walter Dee Thurman.

He graduated from Marietta High School and attended Murray State College in Tishomingo. Mr. Thurman served in the Army during the Vietnam era. He was a long distance truck driver and was happiest when touring the USA behind the wheel of a truck.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jerry D. Jones of Emory, Texas; a nephew, Kevin Jones of Rockwall, Texas; and very best friends, Debra and Harold Robinson of Greenville.

Following cremation, burial will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
