Graveside services for Arbell Blankenship were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook, with Rev. Ken Campbell officiating.

Born December 2, 1910, in Carter County, Mrs. Blankenship died December 4, 1991. She was a Baptist and lifelong resident of this area. She married Clint Blankenship in June 1953 at Overbrook, and he preceded her in death in February 1975.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Jackson of Enos and Violet Durland of Cumberland, Maryland; a son, W.C. McGehee of Wilson; a brother, Elbert Plew of Ardmore; three sisters, Syerlda Gillum of Terral, Violet Rankin of Springer, and Christine Horton of Woodford; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
