Graveside services for Alvin A. Woodcock were Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Jackie DeWitt officiating.
Mr. Woodcock was born October 17, 1911, in Marietta and died August 21, 1997, in the Ardmore Veterans Center at the age of 85. He was the son of Alton A. and Alva Mae Daughrity Woodcock.
Mr. Woodcock had lived in Ardmore for the past 10 years, moving there from Oklahoma City. He was a retired truck driver and one of the Baptist faith. Mr. Woodcock was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Ardmore.
Survivors include a step-son, Dearl Woodcock of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Calvin Woodcock of Washington, Utah; three sisters, Vanita McGuffey of Mead, Frances Madderra of Thackerville and Marie Coker of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Woodcock was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Woodcock in 1992; and two sisters, Anna Mason in 1994 and Iris M. Woodcock in 1986.
Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home. Nephews served as casket bearers.
