Graveside services for W.S. "Bill" Lackey were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood. Officiating was Rev. Torrey Curtis of Pauls Valley.

Born February 14, 1909, at Gene Autry, Mr. Lackey died July 3, 1997, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 88. He was the son of Joseph and Sarah Harvil Lackey.

A resident of Marietta for the past 40 years, Mr. Lackey was retired from Santa Fe Railroad after 35 years of service as a section foreman. He was the past president of the Railway Maintenance Union and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Lackey and the former Julia Szenasi were married February 28, 1959, in Marietta, and she preceded him in death on April 2, 1991. He was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Survivors include a son, William L. "Bill" Lackey of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelba and Del McGowen of Norman and Rebecca and Loren McKeowen of Lawton; a brother, Walter Lee Lackey of Riverside, California; a sister, Jeraldine Scoggins of Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
