Services for Keith Norvell, 38, were Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel, Carlsbad, New Mexico, with Pastor Len Blanchard of Faith Memorial Freewill Baptist Church officiating.

Born July 28, 1958, in Leon, the son of Johnny S. and Roxy A. Miller Norvell, Mr. Norvell died December 31, 1996, in rural Eddy County, New Mexico.

He grew up in Andrews, Texas, where he graduated from high school. Mr. Norvell was a consultant for Pennzoil Oil and Gas Operators Production for several years as a well site supervisor while owning and operating his consulting firm of Norvell's Oil Field Service in Carlsbad. He had lived in Carlsbad for about six years. Mr. Norvell was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Andrews.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gay Nell Norvell of Carlsbad; two daughters, Lori Rudolph and Christie Derington of Weatherford, Texas; his parents, Johnny S. and Roxy Norvell of Andrews; a brother, Jimmy Norvell of Andrews; a sister, Anna Woods of Andrews; two grandsons; and an uncle, Eddie Miller of Burneyville.

Mr. Norvell was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny E. Norvell and Terry Norvell.

Interment was at 4:00 p.m. January 4 in Andrews Cemetery, Andrews, with Denton-Funchess Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
