Services for Mary Frances Taliaferro, 88, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 13, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Pastor Jeff McLemore, Lawrence Anderson and Bro. Travis Huffman officiating.

Mrs. Taliaferro was born May 13, 1916, in Wood, South Dakota, the daughter of Charlie Joseph and Frances Paseka Dvorak. She died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in Mercy Health Love County Hospital, Marietta.

She had been a resident of Love County since 1967. She and Bill Huddleston were married on May 14, 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1963. She then married J.B. Taliaferro on June 6, 1967, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1987. Mrs. Taliaferro was retired from Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, where she worked in the housekeeping department. A Catholic, Mrs. Taliaferro attended Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta.

Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Sue Dvorak, Bill and Betty Dvorak and J.C. "Buddy" and Vivian Motsenbocker, all of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Taliaferro was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie Dvorak, Tony Dvorak and David Dvorak; and a step-brother, Robert Motsenbocker.

Pallbearers were Lance Dvorak, Ronnie Savage, Robert Hughes, Danny Dvorak, Drew Dvorak, Derick Dvorak and Rocky Bearden. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Tom O'Connor, Mary Ann Fraire and the employees of Good Samaritan Hospice of Wilson.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice of Wilson in care of the funeral home.
