(These excerpts were taken from the minutes of the Meadowbrook School reunions.)

The Meadowbrook-Turner Alumni met May 13, 1973 in the Turner School Lunch Room with the largest crowd attending in several years.

There were 125 in attendance. The meeting was called to order by the president, J.C. Montgomery and minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary.

Milton Goldsmith of Paige, Arizona, the former winner of the Ugliest Man trophy, presented it to the new winner, Claudia Lang. David Freeman was the winner of the "Marietta Monitor" subscription which he has won for several years straight for coming the greatest distance.

Election of officers was held and the following were elected to serve for the coming year: J.C. Lang, president, Don Bloomer, vice president and Lamona Bone, secretary.

Alumni officers in 1975 were Louis Henderson, president, Thelma Hitt, vice president and Jackie Henderson, secretary.

The 1997 officers were: Robert (Bub) Williams, president, Louis Henderson, vice president and treasurer, Rowena Montgomery.

David Fuller led the group in 1979 with Donald Bloomer, vice president and Thelma Hitt, treasurer.

In 1980 James Lan was president, Cletus Lang, vice president and Joyce Nutter was treasurer.

Carroll Montgomery served as president of the group in 1981, Barbara Lang led the group in 1985 and Bill Goodwin was elected president in 1986. In 1988 Rex White was the top officer of the organization. Serving with him were Don Jackson, vice president and Bobby Epley was secretary.

Phyllis Coffey was president in 2002, and the present members of the planning committee are Rose Chambers, Don Jackson, Joyce Nutter and Ron Jacobs.

The annual Meadowbrook banquet is scheduled for May 10 at Lake Murray Lodge. All persons who have had any connection with Meadowbrook School in any capacity are encouraged to attend.

In the past people have come from South Carolina to California and from Texas to Nebraska. Make plans to attend this year. The current officers are planning some surprises and will honor the graduating class of 1953.
