MARION RATZLAFF
A private burial for Marion Lee RATZLAFF, 86, of Fairview, was held on on Aug. 13, 2006, at the Fairview Cemetery & a Celebration of Life service held at the First United Methodist Church, Fairview. Arrangements by Fairview Fun. Home, Inc.
Marion was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Fairview, OK to Andrew H. & Helena (CORNELSEN) RATZLAFF & died Aug. 10, 2006, in the Grat Plains Care Center, Helena, OK.
Marion's family lived in the Fairview community where he attended schools & graduated from high school in 1937.
V'Ona Carol HENDRICKS became the birde of Marion at her parent's home near Homestead, OK, on June 29, 1941. Recently the couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary as family & friends gathered in their home.
During W.W. II, Marion served in the US Air Force, training at Wichita Falls, TX.
Marion was a member of the Fairview First United Methodict Church, a member of the Fairview Noon Lion's Club & American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, V'Ona, son Paul A. RATZLAFF, Chickasha, daughter, Kristin & John GOSNEY, Jr. Fairview; grandchildren, Nathan RATZLAFF, Katie RATZLAFF both of Chickasha, Zak RATZLAFF, OKC, Andrea & Duane HARMAN, Tusla, & Lesli & Jason DOWNS, Tulsa; great grandchildren, Madison GOSNEY-GOELZ, Norman, Halle Faye HARMAN, Tulsa, Kale Wesley DOWNS, Tulsa; sister-in-law Willadean HENDRICKS, Okeene, OK.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, John W. GOSNEY,III, brother-in-law Carl HENDRICKS & sister-in-law & husband, Vera & Fred WRIGHT.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Hospice Circle of Love in Fairview or the Gread Plalins Care Center, Helena (paid)
