Dear Fronia: I stand corrected -- the 1920 Census also shows Sallie's birth in MO. However, the 1850 Census for Campbell Co., KY, 2nd District, shows her with her parents, Peter and Julia A. GOSNEY -- and that shows KY as her birthplace. Very confusing.

Sallie and John G. were married in Clark Co., MO in 1876.

Thank you for the reference to the McClure cemetery in Callaway County, MO!

I think the White Dove Cemetery listing that I saw posted on the Ancestry World Tree is a red herring for this line. I have the death certificate for the John McCLURE who is buried there. He is not my John Gustin McCLURE. It is the same for the World Tree listing for Sallie McCLURE buried in Davidson, OK. I have the death certificate and it is for a different person than my Sallie Ann McCLURE.

My guess is that John G. and Sallie are buried in Oklahoma City. But I don't have correct dates of death. In fact, I don't know how long they lived.
