Smiley: Thanks for replying. What I'm really trying to do is find any link to the original sealed birth certificate of my mother, Shirley Nickell. She was born as Fern Jackson on Nov. 3, 1929 in Kansas City, Mo. Dan NIckell and his first wife Jessie Belle adopted her. Ruby Lee was Dan's third wife. I was born out of wedlock as Mom was and am trying to find any medical history and my roots on her side. It's all very complicated and your contribution has untied one more loose end. Thank you again.
