Searching for Martha Elizabeth, either Morris or Cooper. It is stated in
the family by several of the children that she was born in Arkansas and
it is repeated also in the 1900 census of Douglas County Missouri. The
birth of Matha is stated to be January 1871, in Arkansas. I have not
been able to find her in the 1880 census of either Arkansas or Missouri.
  Her fist marriage was about 1897 to the Benjamin Cooksey. She had 2
sons, James and George Cooksey {1899}. James did not live and George is
listed also in the 1900 census living with his mother in the household
of Elisha and Malinda Morris in Douglas County Missouri.

She goes on to marry Noah Abel York. She and this family is next listed
in Oklahoma. in the 1910 census. She is buried in Santa Clara Californa
near her husband.   Family came to Santa Clara area about 1935.

I saw the postings about OK Morris family and thought it might be a part
of this line as many ofour relatives DID go to OK. Sure hope that you
can help.
