Hi,
We are looking for my mothers sibling!!!
PLEASE HELP........

Benjamin Franklin LLOYD was born 9 Sept 1909, in Atkins, Pope Co., AR.

Ben married Billie BELL on 1 June 1927, in Okmulgee, Okmulgee Co., OK.
Billie was 18 years old and I do not know who her parents were. Anyone know???

According to a good source Ben & Billie LLOYD had a baby daughter. Some family members think they remember that the child was possibly a boy.
My source lived by them and knew the family very well. All of the information she provided has proven to be correct. So I do not doubt that this information is correct and the baby was a girl. We do not know the baby's name!!!

Ben and Billie lived with his parents in Henryetta, OK. I have the address. I was also told that they fought all the time. They split up and Billie took the baby and went back to live with her family.

I am also told by the same source that Billie BELL was Native American, as she had olive colored skin. (& NO I haven't heard that she was an Indian Princess... ;-} )

By 1932 Ben was married in Texas to his second wife, my grandmother. They did not stay together very long and he returned to Henryetta, OK.

At some point he was working at Lee Bros in Pando, Colorado.

Ben Lloyd died 24 Aug 1949, in Henryetta and is buried in Westlawn Cemetery.

Ben LLoyd also had a cousin named Toby POPJOY that lived in Henryetta. I have a photo of Ben and a couple of the POPJOY's.
