Jack,
My bet is (and I'll check this out this weekend), that the Butterfield
Stage line went through an area about 8 miles from here (Ada). The reason
I say that is years ago, there was a cafe on the highway between Frances
and Allen called the Butterfield Stage Restaurant. It burned about 15
years ago, but my husband remembers it as he was growing up in Ada and
Byng.
