I am also attempting to make a connection to the Jarretts from the St.Francis
county/ Colt, Arkansas area. My husband's great great grandfather, Henry
(Hezekiah?) or H.H. Jarrett was married to Celia Cowan. They had three
children: John, Beatrice and Myrtle. When Celia passed away, Henry remarried
and started a new family. The three adult children from the first marriage
disapproved of the second marriage and moved away from the Colt area sometime
around 1914-1916, completely losing touch with their father and his new
family. John, married to Modena Bonds- also of the Colt area, moved his
family to McGehee, Arkansas. There is still a large family of Jarretts
in the McGehee/Dumas area. Some of them would love to finally make contact
with the "missing" side of their family. Do my Jarretts connect with your
family?
