I'm not related to Harper or McWater, but I saw in your original message a mention of Blankenship. My gg-gf Benjamin Phillips lived in Pushmataha county for a while. I believe he may have died there. His wife at the time( #3), filed for a widow's pension while living in Ethel. His first wife, my gg-gm was Christena Blankenship. There were married in Henderson Co TN before 1850. They lived in Oregon County MO by 1858. By 1880, he was married to his 2nd wife.
