Jesse Arthur "Jim" Sanderford was born February 4, 1948 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Mildred and Russell Sanderford. He passed away February 27, 2012 at Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years and 23 days.
As a boy Jim and his mother lived with his older sister's family who was in the military and they traveled the world together. Along the way he stopped in Weatherford, Oklahoma to work and earn some money. He later began his own business raising and racing greyhounds. Jim loved roping with his sons and shooting pool but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandkids.
