To often, people do not show the respect that our law enforcement officers
deserve. They are here "to protect and to serve". Officers Rominger and
Evans lost their lives in the service of "we the people".

I would like to provide Oklahomans with an opportunity to show the law
enforcement community that we care about them. Today I will be wearing a
royal blue ribbon as a sign of my personal support for law enforcement. I
will also tie a similar ribbon on the antenna of my vehicle.

I have spent most of the night making blue ribbons to give to my co-workers
and anyone else interested in saying "I care". I would like to invite
everyone to join in this effort.

The law enforcement community lost a great deal yesterday. Let's show we
support them. Wear a blue ribbon for the month of September.

Would you help by providing information about this campaign to the general
public?
