There is a Pioneer Family Monument being built in Cordell, OK for the
homesteading families and their children that went to school in Cordell and
Cloud Chief of that immediate area. If you are interested in getting the

It costs $80 for a husband and wife (with the wife's maiden name), $20
additional for each child's name. For example: a husband (John Jones),
wife, (Sally Smith) and four children (Maggie, Charlie, Suzy and Johnny) it
will cost $160.

My grandparents homesteaded in the area. All of their children went to
school at Cloud Chief. Some of their children also married and had children
that went to school there. My cousin and I are working with other members
of the extended family to get them involved in commemorating our heritage in
this way. I was asked by Mrs. Deonier to offer this to others that are from
that immediate area.
