John A. BOYD of Berkeley Co.,WV
Sarah E.(MURPHY) m. David J. BOYD of Frederick Co.,VA
Annetta (MURPHY)m. J.M. HOCKMAN of Hampshire Co.,WV
Elizabeth (MURPHY) m.Andrew MCDONALD of Illinois
Nancy (MURPHY) m. William HESS of Logan Co., Ohio

And also anyone having a John Murphy with possible brothers of William and
Samuel these fellows were hiers of a Joseph MURPHY of Sandusky Co., Ohio

all this information was taken from a power of attorney letter written by
J.M. HOCKMAN of Slanesville, WV Feb.18, 1893.

Can anyone also tell me where Slanesville is located and what would be the
best place to research for that area?
