be of interest to all of you who have been placing queries
to this list on the Whites.

Here is all I found, containing the name William Shields from 1682 through
1834.

Pennsylvania Wills, 1682-1834


WHITE, JOHN. East Nottingham.
February 15, 1758. March 9, 1758.
To daughter Mary £50. To William Shields that is married to my
daughter Mary, 1 shilling. To son Patrick Carson 1/2 of plantation I
now live upon, the East end of it. To daughter Jean Carson chest of
drawers. To daughter Agnes White the other half of plantation and
furniture. To son Robert Croswell £50. To granddaughter Ester Carson
£10. To granddaughter Elizabeth Shields £5. Executors: Nephew John
White of Oxford and son Patrick Carson. Wit: Andrew Buyers, Samuel
Buyers.

Pennsylvania Wills, 1682-1834

SHIELDS, WILLIAM. Londonderry.
December 31, 1759. June 9, 1760.
To wife 1/3 of all estate. To son Joseph 1/2 of crop in the ground and
£2. Remaining 2/3 to be divided among daughter Cathrin Shields, son
Archibald, son Robert, son Thomas, daughter Hannah Shields, son William
and daughter Martha Shields.
Executrix: Wife Martha.
Witnesses: William Kerr, Joseph Law.
* Daughter Katherine married James Ocheltree. See Deeds. Martha
married Adam Reed.
