Hey, John, I've been enjoying your offerings from the old Missouri
newspapers a lot...nothing so far that is of particular interest to me, but
I was wondering if you might be able to keep your eyes open for something
that would be:

Our family is missing a pair of twins. It seems that they were taken away
from their irresponsible (drunken) parents and placed with an adoptive
family, and thus lost to the rest of us.

They were born on November 10, 1938, a boy and a girl. They would have been
infants or very young children when they were adopted. They were born in
Hancock County, Illinois. We believe that it is possible that they were
placed in the Kansas City area, possibly in the family of a physician and
his wife.

Their birth names were Jerry and Judy Hemming.

They have a half-sister (who was also lost to the family for many years) who
would dearly love to locate them.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Katie
