Subject: CORBETT family from Ireland

I am looking for information on the Corbett family. My g-grandfather Robert
Corbett (born abt 1824 in Ireland) settled in Manvers County, Ont. He died
1918 in Pontypool, Ont. He married Ellen Madill (born Jan. 1, 1833 in
Ireland) - she came to Canada in 1851. Robert's parents were Robert Corbett
and Margaret Greaves, both born in Ireland. I do not know if they came to
Canada.

Robert (born abt 1824) and Ellen had 8 children: Eliza Jane, William A.,
James Henry, Margaret Ellen, Robert A., Martha A., Mary, and John Thomas.
John Thomas Corbett is my grandfather.

John Thomas Corbett (born June 1875 in Pontypool), married Sept. 1905 in
Beaverton to Mary Ann St. John (born in Uxbridge in 1881).

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has knowledge of this family, or
of these particular areas of Ontario - I need help in finding out who I should
be contacting for information - I'm not familiar with the counties in Ont. and
need some direction. Thank you.
