Hello:
I'm searching for the names of my great great grandmother's parents. Her
name was Ellen Wilson. On Oct. 23, 1831 she married Edward McBrien in
Cobourg, Ont. before moving to Lot S1/2 34 , Conc. 5, Whitby Twp. in Ontario
(Durham) County. Edward and Ellen had ten children all born in Whitby Twp.
They were:
1. Mary b. 1833 d. ? married 1852 to Philip Cooper
(They moved to Michigan, U.S.A.)
2. Anne b. Jan. 25, 1834 d. Dec. 12, 1917 married ? to John Brander
(They moved to Lambton County)
3. Sarah b. Sept. 24, 1836 d. Feb. 22, 1880 married ? to Samuel
Jones. (They lived in Pickering Twp., Ontario County.)
4. Isabella b. 1840 d. Dec. 10, 1916 married 1859 to William Bowles.
(They lived in Ontario County.)
5. Hugh b. 1839 d. May 10, 1921 married ? to Margaret Jones.
(They lived in Ontario County)
6. Henry b. Nov. 5, 1842 d. June 3, 1910 married March 15, 1870 to
Christina Smith (These are my great grandparents who moved
to Bosanquet Twp., Lambton Co. after their marriage.)
7. Jane b. 1844 d. Aug. 5, 1822 She never married and lived on the
homestead with her brother William.
8. Edward b. June 13, 1845 d. April 25, 1901 married ? to Angeline
Stevenson. (They lived in Whitby Twp.)
9. Thomas b. c. 1848 d. ? married Nov. 25, 1875 to Adelina
Altenbreck. (There is no knowledge of where they lived.)
10. William b. 1849 d. Feb. 16, 1931 Never married and lived on the
homestead with his sister, Jane.

The only other information on the Wilson, I have is that they lived in the
area of Whitby Twp., and she had a nephew, Henry Wilson, who went to the same
as their youngest children.
If anyone on this list has any information on the Wilson family I would
greatly appreciate hearing from them.
