Good Morning.wondering if there is anyone out there who might be familiar
with the names BEAMISH and/or HINDMAN. Both families settled in Manvers two.
Victoria county, Ontario sometime before 1845 .As I understand it Manvers Twp
then became part of Durham Co. but has since reverted to Victoria Co again.
Both families emigrated from Ireland. They are both listed in the 1871 census
and the Beamish name is also in the 1851 census. These are my great-great
grandparents and I would be interested in any tidbit of info. The younger
John Hindman born in l846 moved after 1871 to Port Severn Ontario to work in
lumbering. Part of a company move perhaps? Thanks again.
