Hello Kathy,

This is certainly wonderful for you to share your library and I would
really appreciaate a look up in the Durham County Marriages. I am having a
rough time with these Harrisons; property was at Lot 10, Concession 5,
Manvers Township, 1846 until after 1901.

Robert Harrison. 1. I need to know if his parents were James Harrison and
1. Jane Costes or 2. Mary Ann Harkness. If they are not I will know for
sure I am on the wrong track. James appears to have married twice.


Possibly two marriages for Robert Harrison.
1. Robert Harrison and Agness with a son James born 1865; and James marries
Elizabeth Strong, d/o Robert and Mary Strong in 1879.

2. Robert Harrison and Jane Leary with children Robert, Richard, Benjamin
and Thomas William.

For sure a Robert Harrison and Jane Leary are parents of Benjamin born 5
May 1871 and Thomas William born 2 Jun 1873. Have certificates.

Here is a death certificate I noted and would like to share as it gives so
much information. Not my family though. LDS microfilm 1854468. Death
registration number 021229. County of Durham, division of Manvers. Mary
Johnston died 25 Dec 1908 at Lot 23 Con 6 Manvers. Born 4 May 1817, age 91
years, born Ireland. Widowed. Her parents were Edward McCaul and Isabella
Hill, both born Ireland. Dr. Hamilton, of Bethany. Registered by Richard
Johnston, Bethany. In the medical part she is referred to as Mrs. James
Johnston.
