Hello Carol:
I suspect your "Enniskillen Church Diary" is a publication of the
Bowmanville Museum. I recall reading the same article.
My grandfather (Alfred RICHARDS) was working at Sylvester's in
Enniskillen when he met my grandmother (Zilla PARKIN). They were married
in 1897, so that will give you a time frame. I grew up in Bowmanville,
and visited Enniskillen occasionally, but never knew about Sylvester's
until I started doing genealogy. I believe there is a picture (drawing)
of the place in the Tremaine atlas.
The main reason I'm writing is to say that I too am researching FEE. My
wife is descended from the immigrant FEE family who settled in Emily
Township in 1819. Can I help you with that family?

I am researching Enniskillen, too and was sent a copy of an article
about the town. Unfortunately I do not know where it is from, but
it is entilted "Enniskillen Church Diary" and is written by Dr J N
Hutchison
of Winnipeg in May 1939. He mentions the founding families of the
Anglican Church (which I have seen referred to as the "English Church").
John Virtue and family and Archy Virtue and family, just east of the
village
are amongst the listed. He also talks about a graveyard of pioneers
associated
with the church.
The family I am looking into the family of Henry Sylvester and his two
sons
Robert
& Richard Sylvester. They had an Agricultural machine works in
Enniskillen.
