Subject: Signatures NEEDED on Petitions - Senate and House of Commons
Date: Tue, 10 Apr 2001 14:53:49 -0400

>>> Sincere Apology if Memo is Received More than once <<<<

To all:

Petitions with many signatures continue to arrive daily -- but more are needed.
Here are just a few tips:-

Go to http://globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm
Download both Adobe Acrobat (FREE) and Petitions for Senate and House of
Commons.

If saved to an A:\ disk, one will be able to control printing of certain pages.
A completed petition may have 4 pages of 25 names each (Page 3), but
only 1 page of Page 2 is needed. Page 1 does not need to be returned to
either myself (Senate) or Gordon Watts (House of Commons).

It is perfectly alright to double-side printing -- saves paper!!!

Do not make any changes in printed sections -- write only on the blank lines.

Please try to use blue ink -- some black ink pens look like PHOTOCOPY

Students: Keep these separate -- Mark in name of school!!!

British Home Children descendants -- Mark BHC in left margin beside
"Signatures collected at" and "by" name of desc. & BHC person

Metis and others: See BHC above -- Metis would print METIS

Try your libraries -- we are presently trying to obtain recognition from the
Canadian Library Association to allow petitions or support this cause.
Thank goodness, Brampton Public Library supports Census Release as
Senator Lorna Milne lives in Brampton and Murray Calder "up the road"

The wording of Senator Milne's S-12 and Calder's Bill C-312 is identical,
and will be found at <http://www.murraycaldermp.com/>;

All questions will be answered -- there must be something I forgot!
