THOMAS J. O'NEILL, 62, of Patchogue died Tuesday at Brookhaven Memorial
Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. O'Neill had been a local resident for the
past 20 years.
He retired in 1968 from employment as a security policeman at Fort
Hamilton Base in Brooklyn. A United States Army veteran of World War2, he
was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife Mary, three sons: James of Baldwin, Thomas
of Bethpage and Dennis of New York City; two daughters, Marie of Commack and
Linda of Patchogue, and by five grandchildren.
Wake prayers were held last evening at the Robertaccio Funeral Home. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be read today at 11:15 a.m. at St. Sylvester's
R.C. Church, Medford, after which interment will take place at Calverton
National Cemetery.

This was in the Long Island Advance on 9 Mar 1980.
It was a weekly paper put out for the town of Patchogue and surrounding
towns.
