Hi, all. I need a little help here, and I hope that this list covers most of
PA. My gr-gr-grandmother Martha O'NEILL is listed as born in PA in 1869,
parents Charles and Mary O'Neill, Roman Catholic. Charles, born c. 1840,
appears to have come from Canada around 1860. He married Mary (?), born c.
1851, sometime after, probably in 1868, somewhere in PA. They show up in
Fayette County PA in the 1880 census. Their first child born in the Fayette
County area, according to the Diocese of Greensburg, is Peter, 1877. What I
am asking, no begging, for, is someone who might have some idea where in PA
he/they were between 1860 and 1877. Charles' occupation is listed as a coal
drawer, meaning that he probably worked for a coking operation.
Has anyone seen any information about these people anywhere in PA? they are
my dead end.
Thank you
Tim Boyle
