My copy of "The Old United Empire Loyalist List" verifies what you have
written regarding the Loyalist surname CHURCH.

My G-G-G-Grandfather, Israel THOMPKINS [TOMPKINS], is also listed in Appendix
B of this same book as follows:

THOMPKINS, Israel....E. District, Augusta...Soldier of Jessup's Corps.
R. A. D. G.

Can anyone tell me what "R. A. D. G." stands for?

G-G-G-Grandfather]

As a member of Kings Loyal Americans, Kings Rangers, Rogers Rangers, &
Jessup's Loyal Rangers, he served the Royal Standard for 5 years and 3 months
in service to "The Crown" and was honorably discharged 17, Jan., 1783 at
Riviere des Chene.
