Hi Cheryl
Edwardsburg is the Township where Prescott is located. The Battle of the
Windmill was just outside of Prescott. The site is marked as a Historical
Site and a plaque on Hgwy 2 will direct you to it. Prescott is just across
the St. Lawrence River Morristown Area in New York State. Another little
hamlet called Wexford is located next to Prescott. Donald E Graves recently
wrote another book on this Battle (which is very interesting) and I purchased
this while staying near Prescott this past September. The Title is "Guns
Across The River" The Battle of the Windmill 1838. It was published by The
Friends of the Windmill in 2001.
This is one of my favorite Area's in Ontario Canada (although there are many)
and they also have a nice Historical Archives located there which I have
found to be very helpful in my Research.
