Does anyone know the origin of these first names -- Amasa and Alje or
Aljo? They were used by an Irish descending family in Western Ontario
around 1900-1930. I believe they are boys' names. These were farmers and
Methodists. The others in the families seem to have had the ordinary
boys' and girls names.
Thanks for any ideas
